Each course package can be configured to return grade values for Final Grade items and for supported non-Final Grade items. Supported grade item types include Numeric, Pass/Fail, and Selectbox. When Intermediate Grade Passback for a course package is enabled, launching the course package from an LTI link synchronizes the grade book between the course package and the recipient LMS. Doing so creates line items in the recipient grade book where each line item corresponds to a grade object from the course package. When learners receive a grade value for these grade objects in the course package, those grade values are automatically posted to the corresponding line items in the recipient grade book.
Disabling Intermediate Grade Passback for a course package disables grade book synchronization and grade value passback for intermediate, or non-Final, grades. Final Grade values are still returned. Any line items and grade values that were created in the recipient grade book during previous launches remain in the grade book.

Note: When a Course Package is published in Course Publisher, Intermediate Grade Passback is disabled by default. |
