You can use Form Elements to set up your address book in Brightspace.
Enable instructors to turn off Address Book in courses
You can assign users specific role permissions so they can turn off their address book in specific courses.
To set required form elements
- Navigate to Admin Tools > Form Elements.
- Enable the following form elements:
- CourseInfo > Address Book
- CourseOfferingInfo > Address Book
- CreateCourse > Address Book
To set required role permissions
- Navigate to Admin Tools > Roles and Permissions.
- Give applicable instructors the Email > Can Enable the Course's Address Book permission at the course offering level.
Disable your Address Book
You can also disable the address book for a specific course offering.
To disable your address book
- Navigate to your course and click Course Admin > Course Offering Information.
- Clear the Show course address book check box.
