Define areas and sub areas of focus within designated levels. You can add, edit, duplicate, delete, and reorder areas and sub areas to create a logical and meaningful sequence for learners. These features provide full control over the structure and organization of content within each level.
Within sub areas, create self assessment questions and recommendations for learners.
Add and edit areas and sub areas
Before adding areas and sub areas, ensure you create and save levels to associate areas, sub areas, questions and recommendations.
To add a new area and sub area
- From the Levels tab, click the name of the level where you want to add an area.
- Click Add New Area.
- Enter an Area Name*. Click Save to save the new area before you can access sub areas.
- Click Add a New Sub area.
- Enter the Sub Area Name*, Sub Area Description*, and Question Introduction Text*.

Note: The option to add Questions and Recommendations appears on the Sub area page. After saving the new sub area, the Questions and Recommendations tabs become available to edit. |
To edit an area
- From the Levels tab, click the Level Name associated with the area you want to edit. Alternately, click Edit from the Level Actions context menu for the level.
- Click the name of the area you want to edit . Alternately, click Edit from the Area Actions context menu.
- Make your changes to the following:
- Edit the Area Name*
- Click Add New Sub Area.
- Reorder the list of sub areas.
Click Save and Close.
To edit a sub area
- From the Levels tab, navigate to the Manage Area page that contains the sub area you want to edit.
- Click the Sub Area name you want to edit. Alternately, click Edit from the Sub Area Actions context menu.
- Edit any of the following fields:
- Sub Area Name*
- Sub Area Description*
- Question Introduction Text*
- Select Mark as Major Change if the change requires learners to retake self assessments.
Click Save and Close.
