Reporting Layer Dashboard
When you first log into the Course Merchant Reporting Layer, you can review the dashboard. The dashboard consists of dashlets and tabs.
Figure: Navigate through dashlets and tabs in the dashboard.
Dashlets are small panels that make up the dashboard. They can display records from any module or the results of a report.
Along the top you can check the default homepage tab and a second example tab. Each tab can have its own set of dashlets.
The main body of the homepage is the Course Sale Dashlet, which shows an up-to-date picture of all the orders being processed though the shop. You can navigate the table using the controls at the top-right corner of the dashlet.
Navigate the Reporting Layer
When you enter one of the system modules, for example Course Sale, the furthest left item on the top menu shows both Home and the module name.
Figure: Click Home to navigate to the homepage or remain on the current module.
Your current module is now the first item under the All menu.
The expanded menu allows you a few options and shows you the last records you viewed.
Modules
The documentation linked below covers the Course Merchant integration modules. Each module consists of records and related data, along with corresponding actions you can perform on those records.
You may notice other modules in the menus but these are not supported.

Workflows
The documentation linked below covers common Course Merchant workflows:
Data flow and the Reporting Layer
Data only flows into the Reporting Layer, so any changes made in the Reporting Layer are not reflected in your LMS or Course Merchant.
If you make changes to a Reporting Layer data field populated from Course Merchant and Course Merchant pushes that order into the system again, your edits are overwritten. This can occur when an order is edited in the Order Edit screen.
Custom Reporting Layer fields contain data that is only in the system. These are either manually entered or calculated by the system. If an order is changed in Course Merchant and pushed through to the Reporting Layer, any custom fields are not overwritten.
Moodle and Totara can send both learner data and Order data (as an add-on) to the Reporting Layer.
