Course Merchant is a shopping cart and e-commerce system capable of integrating with multiple Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Course Merchant allows you to manage course bookings via your website. If you are selling e-learning courses, the system automatically registers the learner into Brightspace. If you are selling face-to-face classes, you can choose to implement inventory control with an automated waitlist. Course Merchant also allows for the sale of physical goods such as books, CDs, and DVDs.
Course Merchant supports user registration, SSO through to Brightspace, custom catalogs, multiple languages (as an add-on), and B2B bulk bookings. Course Merchant can also be customized to support UI themes that match a customer’s public site.

Course Merchant editions
There are two editions of Course Merchant available:
Lite Edition
- Standard out-of-the-box version of Course Merchant
- 'Daylight' theme to match Brightspace standard theme
- Staging and live server set-up with appropriate backup and specification
- Integration with a currently supported payment gateway
- Project Management for deployment
- SSO into Brightspace
Note: SSO into any other platform has an additional cost. Course Merchant only supports standards based SSO systems (SAML or OIDC).
Standard Edition
Includes everything in Lite Edition, plus:
- Store theme design to match customer website or other reference
- Project Management for store design match and deployment
- Reporting Layer
