Create a single link that automatically redirects enrolled users to the current re-offered course of a source course in which they are enrolled. The persistent link reduces manual updates and ensures learners always access the most current re-offered course.
You can include this link in any external resource where course links are normally shared. Once added, users are automatically redirected to the most current re-offered course.
To create a redirect link
- Replace {sourceCourseId} in the redirect link format below with the org unit ID.
{base-url}/d2l/platformTools/courses/sourceCourse/{sourceCourseId}/currentCourseOffering
- Paste the complete link into your desired resource (for example, an internal website, catalog, or email).
To identify the source course Unit ID
- In the Courses tool, select the Source Courses tab.
- Open the latest version of the source course that you want users to access.
- Copy the org unit ID from the course URL, which appears as a number at the end of the URL.
