Create and structure Source Courses for deployment

Use Source Courses to create and structure master courses that you can deploy across multiple offerings. You can create a source course or start from an existing one, and then use Filter, Search, and Sort to find the content you need.

Source Course requirements

To manage Source Courses in Createspace, configure the following tools and permissions:

Turn on Createspace in Organization Tools.
In Admin Tools > Roles & Permissions, enable the following permissions:
- Createspace > View Createspace at the organization level.
- Manage Courses > See Source Courses tab.
- Manage Courses > Has access to the Manage Courses tool.

To enable Source Course workflows in Createspace, you must first configure the underlying Source Course permissions and configuration variables in the Courses tool. These settings control automatic template creation and department associations, which are required for the Source Courses tab in Createspace.

Access Source Courses from Createspace

Access Source Courses in one of the following ways:

From the navbar, select Libraries > Source Courses.
From the Dashboard, select Source Courses in the Libraries widget.
