If you want to prevent LTI tools from writing grades to specific LTI content, you can remove the grade association from the content topic. This allows independent control of the LTI tool content items without deleting the grade book column.
To remove the grade association
- Navigate to a graded LTI content topic through your course content.
- Click Edit Activity.
- On the opened page, click Add and Manage Grade Items.
- Select Reset to Ungraded in the Grade Book drop-down list.
- Click OK and then Save or Save and Close to save your changes.
The grade association is now removed for the selected content topic. The LTI tool can no longer write grades to this content topic. Existing grades in the grade book remain unaffected by this change.
