Add new content to an existing learning path
You can add web pages to an existing learning path in addition to the content you have added from a course or various content repositories.
Instructors can search and view learner content and their own contributed content on this page. Both instructor- and learner-contributed content affects the learning path.
To add new content to an existing learning path
- Click the learning path you want to add web page links to.
- On the Edit Learning Path tab, click the Content Repositories sub-tab.
- Click the User Contributed Content link.
- On the Contents of Repository: User Contributed Content page, in the Link field, enter a URL.
- On the Contents of Repository: User Contributed Content page, click Choose File. Select a CSV file that follows the Brightspace LeaP format.
- Click Submit.
Add new questions to an existing learning path
Questions you import are added to all learning paths in the course. If you import the same questions multiple times, multiple instances of the same questions are made. Questions must be true or false, single answer, or multiple choice.

Instructors can hide questions in a learning path, providing more control over what learners see.

- Click the learning path that you want to hide questions in.
- In the Edit Learning Path tab, click the Questions Control sub-tab.
- In the Hidden column, find the question you want to hide and click Visible.
Hiding learner-contributed content
Since learners can contribute content in the form of web pages to the learning path, instructors may want a way to hide learner-contributed content that they deem irrelevant or inaccurate.

- In the Edit Learning Path tab, click the Content Repositories sub-tab.

- After identifying the content you want to hide, click Visible in the Hidden? column to hide the content.
Disabling learner ability to contribute content

- On the Edit Learning Path tab, click the Settings sub-tab.
- Clear the Allow learners to contribute content from external web pages link.
- Click Submit.
Copy learning paths to other courses
When you copy a learning path, you also need to copy course content to the target course so that the new Brightspace LeaP instance has access to the same content the originating Brightspace LeaP had. You should also make sure that your new course has access to each Learning Objects Repository that was included in your original course.
To copy a learning path, use the backup and restore, import and export, or course copy functionality in Brightspace.
Remove learning paths
Before you begin: You must have External Learning Tools permissions to complete this task.
- From the context menu of the learning path you want to remove, click Delete.
- Select the Remove the topic from Content but keep the associated file or activity in the course option.
- Click Delete.
Note: Choosing the Permanently delete both the topic from Content and the associated file or activity from the course option removes the tool, as well as all links to that tool, and is not recommended.
