Generate learning outcome alignments for assignments using D2L Lumi Outcome

You can use Lumi Outcomes for Assignments to suggest learning outcome alignments for your assignments in Brightspace.

This is the paper note and pencil icon used for notes.

Note: D2L Lumi Outcome Alignment for Assignments is available in the following regions only:

US (us-east-1)
Canada (ca-central-1)
Singapore (ap-southeast-1)
Sydney (ap-southeast-2)
Ireland (eu-west-1)

To generate learning outcome alignment suggestions for assignments

Navigate to Assignments and select an assignment.
Do one of the following:
- Click New Assignment.
- Click the Actions menu and select Edit Assignment.

Click Standards.

Note: The name of the Learning Outcomes tool and some menu items and links therein depend on the language term defined by your organization. Based on that setting, the Standards link might be labeled Competencies, Expectations, Objectives, or Learning Outcomes.

In the Browse Standards dialog, click Suggest Standard Alignments.

Do one of the following:

Select one or more of the three suggested standards.
Click Suggest More to generate additional suggestions.

Figure: Select one or more of the suggested alignments or click Suggest More to generate additional suggestions.

Note: Generating suggestions for outcome alignments is equivalent to one generation of AI consumption; clicking Suggest More during the workflow does not trigger additional generations.

Click Save.
Click Save and Close.
