Child Item

Receive a weekly summary of your child's activity

If enabled by the administrator, parents and guardians can choose to receive a weekly summary of their child's activity in Brightspace. Each Saturday, an activity summary containing notifications and reminders is emailed to them. For example, an activity summary may contain reminders when assignments are due and notifications when an instructor shares portfolio items.

This is the paper note and pencil icon used for notes.

Note: Parents and guardians receive one email per child.

To receive a weekly summary

In the Brightspace Parent & Guardian web application, parents and guardians click their profile and select Notifications.
Under Contact Methods, parents and guardians enter their email address, if they have not already done. A confirmation email is sent to the email address, prompting them to confirm the email address.
Under Weekly Overview for my Children, they select the Yes, email me a summary check box.
Parents and guardians click Save.
