Why don't you allow the "special access" option for discussion boards as you do for assessments such as quizzes and drop box items. This is a major failing of your system. There are times often enough, where students have a legitimate reason to request and receive additional time to post on a discussion board.

When using the Brightspace SCORM website, most of the page is fine, but then certain areas trail off the page and are unreadable. Many students do not go by their given first names, and in some cases really don't like being called by their first names. Can a replacement string be used to pick up the nickname field in the profile?
