How do you assess anonymous posts in discussions? It appears that the posts/replies that are posted as anonymous do not appear when assessing the topic.

Anonymous marking is only available for the Assignments tool only at this time. See
You can create graded discussions topics in which you allow learners to hide their names from other learners, however their names will still be visible to the assessor/evaluator.

Just wanted to add that if the See Anonymous Post Author permission is NOT enabled, then instructors cannot see the students' names OR assess those anonymous posts if a grade item is attached to the topic. This also means that anonymous posts will not count towards meeting release conditions either.
