Regarding the 2024 March release, the link creation format has been updated to only have 'New window' and 'Current window' option, which instead of the 'Whole window' option. But it's NOT working. it opens a new tab in my browser every time, no matter which of the new options I choose. The 'whole window' option was the…
How do you deal with updates to a resource in your online content when, for example, the URL is changed or the content is updated? We're encountering this question for our online courses which are redeveloped annually but updated (to address broken links etc) continuously. Given my librarian side (MLS, and ID) it would be…
Hi D2L community, I have setup quicklinks in my Content which were linked via quicklink → Content. Do these quicklinks get course copied over?
Im unsure why this is happening. This course "First Nation, Inuit, and Metis" is not allowing me to access some of the links provided to me that I am expected to read.
I have encountered a link within a course that cannot be edited. It appears to be a link to a Pearson registration page, when clicked we are redirected to an error message from Pearson stating that the course is not accepting registrations. Could anyone provide insight into the following: Why can this link not be edited,…
Hi, Untill recently if you added a QuickLink to a course file (for example a pdf file) the link to such a file was added with target="_self". However, now such links are added with target="_blank" rel="noopener." Is this a new feature since the last update? Was there a new update? If so, where can I read the changes? Kind…
I have a submodule with content in a module. I want the same submodule to be accessible from multiple modules. Is there a way to either link the original submodule or copy it to more than one module?
We use Readspeaker as our accessibility partner to read PDF documents for students. In order to have Readspeaker work, we need to load our PDF files into content so they can be read by the program. I would like to use a large PDF file and have the quicklink go to a specific page inside of that PDF for ease of use for…
I created new topics using HTML source code, for the buttons that link to existing quicklinks I did not use the built in editor tool instead I copied the form template link and pasted in HTML anchor tag href. Is that the cause of why all existing quicklinks broken or is it a separate issue and how to resolve it?
Hello — I'm familiar with how to create anchor links using <id> tags within a single webpage (I do this to produce a table of contents for long webpages), but I'm having trouble figuring out how to modify the type of link that "Insert Quicklink" yields to help students reach a specific section of a different webpage…
