HTML Templates

Hi everyone, I'm trying to determine whether anyone else has experienced inconsistent behaviour when editing images in the Brightspace HTML Editor. One of our instructors is reporting that when they edit an image using Edit Image, changes such as resizing appear to save correctly while they are still in the HTML Editor.…

Each term, we create a welcome announcement with dates for each term. The announcement is stored it in a folder in shared public files (html-Template-Library) and embedded as an announcement in each course. We would like to personalize the announcement for each student. So…. Added this code: Dear {FirstName}, The code…

Hi everyone, I’m wondering if there is a scalable way to identify which courses or instructors are currently using HTML pages/content in Brightspace. We’re trying to get a sense of how widely HTML content is being used across our course shells, and whether there is any reporting method available through Brightspace Data…

I’ve uploaded the SCORM package into the Public Files as planned. To move forward with hosting the page in HTML format on our website, could you please share the steps needed to accomplish this?

We’re beginning an early exploration of using a master course shell or standardized layout in Brightspace to support consistency across online courses at my institution. I’m curious whether others are using master shells, shared navigation, or HTML templates, and how prescriptive or optional these are for instructors. If…

Hi I'm trying to create custom html templates by editing the existing package of html templates available through D2L. Could someone tell me where to find the list of templates? thanks, Kate

I'd like to insert a single flip card at the bottom of my HTML page. It will serve as a short piece of interactive content with information near the end of the lesson to keep the learner engaged. However, when I insert one flip card, is aligned to the left side of the page. I understand that the typical application for…

I am trying to upload a batch of questions to my Brightspace quiz using a CSV template that Brightspace provided (under Add Existing>Upload a File). Every time I try to upload the template with my questions added in, I get an error message saying "The upload didn't complete because your network connection was interrupted.…

I'm experiencing a persistent grey box around a <video> element embedded in a Brightspace HTML page using the Courseware_HTML_Templates (V5) package. Details: The video is wrapped automatically in a container with the class: .courseware-video-embed-responsive This wrapper appears to apply a grey background or border that…

Hello everyone! I'm trying to find out if there is a way to be able to amend the 'unit' title? ideally we want the title to be in a coloured banner but changing the font colour would also be an option. Using this to illustrate as an example; the 'Programme Overview' would be in a blue banner. I've tried copying source HTML…

I recently exported my Sandbox course content as a zip file (course package) and reset my course. Now that I am ready to import the course package back into my Sandbox, the HTML pages I created are not showing. I am getting an Error: Page Not Found message. The HTML pages were created using the Brightspace HTML templates…

How do you enable HTML templates in the new content experience? The instructions I've found on your website only show this for the classic content experience.

In our Brightspace course we use html videos exported as zip files from Captivate. We then upload the zip file to Manage Files and then we unzip the file and point to the index.html in a module for a course video. Within the video, there is an embedded exit button at the end of the video that generally just exits out of…

In either classic or new content experience, if we create our syllabi using the Brightspace HTML tools - can we then export the syllabi in a format that could be uploaded to a database?

Hi All, I created separate banners for each class but when I upload them they are considerably darker than the original image I created. It's almost as if there's a layer over them. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to clean it up? Thanks!

I'm creating a navigation menu for my <a href="https://iqratechnology.com/hire-salesforce_developer/">HTML</a> page, but I'm running into some issues. The links are not aligning as they should, and the overall styling looks off. Below is the code I've written. Can anyone help me identify the problem and suggest a fix? Here…
