Redesigned quiz timing options to simplify workflows ⏰
The July release updates the quiz creation and quiz taking experiences to simplify existing workflows for instructors and learners by adding useful new quiz timing options features.
This feature implements the following PIE items: D461, D452, D516, D576, D583, D779, D1552, D2860, D3514, D3582, D3627, D4106, D4145, D4441, D4450, D4998, D6359, D6516, D6731, D6904, D7473, D7742, D8038, D8816, D9257, D9656, D9798
Improved workflows for large quizzes 📝
This feature updates instructors' workflows for large quizzes in two ways.
- Instructors can now use the Load More button on the initial page load, if a quiz has more than 200 questions, sections, and question pools.
- If the Load More button is shown, list operations such as moving to the bottom or adding new questions continue functioning as expected. However, to see their changes, instructors must click the Load More button to reveal the updated list.

Add criteria to awards in compliance with the latest Open Badges standard 🏆
Instructors can now specify what a learner must do to achieve a particular award.
This feature complements the use of evidence for awards by adding the new required Criteria field to the Awards tool.
This feature implements PIE item D6128 (Incorporate Open Badge 2.0 Standards)

Customer Spotlight: Lynn Thomas' Take on Gamification
Lynn Thomas, an educator in Dunnville Secondary School, will showcase how she has incorporated the captivating gamification experience using digital escape rooms in Brightspace to transform help Brightspace classroom experience. Digital escape rooms are virtual rooms presented as locked pages, where participants must solve a series of puzzles and challenges to progress.
Lynn emphasizes that these escape rooms incorporate elements such as riddles, ciphers, hidden clues, and logic puzzles, encouraging students to think critically and collaborate with their peers. This Customer Spotlight will also feature a quick Convo With Community session between Lynn and Rabia Ijaz, Technical Account Manager at D2L who is also the course creator of our very own Instructional Design Escape Room in the Brightspace Learning Center!
