What’s a Custom Widget?
Brightspace Homepages allow you to change the layout and add either default, System Widgets or Custom Widgets to your design.
Widgets can be thought of as small programs that can offer a lot of functionality. Some are likely very familiar to you, like having a calendar on a course homepage, or something to help you author course announcements.
Custom Widgets allow you to create the style and content of the information that you would like to appear on a homepage.
