Why was this course created?
D2L CSV is one method that can be used to automate course creation, and user enrollment based on information from an information system (SIS/HRS or others) on a repeatable basis. Working with a D2L representative (Account Manager, Sales Engineer, Implementation Consultant, or Technical Product Manager) pros and cons of the various integration types will be discussed to determine the best option for you. If D2L Standard CSV is selected, you will be directed to this course to assist throughout the process of using this integration for your site.
This course introduces the D2L Standard CSV integration, enabling your place of learning to get set up as quickly as possible, empowered with the information you need to make the best choices for your learning programs. The course also serves as a resource for day-to-day reference, refresher training, or to enable new staff.
Administrators will understand the requirements of creating the D2L Standard CSV files, how to send data to IPSIS, troubleshooting errors that occur, configure how IPSIS behaves, how to merge and unmerge courses and more! The topics should explain how to integrate with D2L Standard CSV form start to finish as well as how to handle ongoing maintenance.
How to use it?
This course can be used by those currently working through their Brightspace Implementation with their project team, or by those who are transitioning from an older integration.
While the course can be downloaded, it is recommended to complete the course with the Learning Center to ensure you are seeing the most up-to-date content. Since IPSIS is a tool that receives active development, changes are documented in regular Release Notes and will be reflected in the course as needed.
We recommend using the section of the course that corresponds to the stage of setup you’re completing.
