Using Attendance as a release condition
Hi there- I'd like to have certain assignment folders/quizzes open based on a student's attendance to a specific lab session. I don't think this is possible at the moment, but in the future, do you think this feature would be added? Right now I have teaching assistants take attendance for labs using the gradebook which…

How to show modules as visible but inaccessible with release conditions?
Hi. I'm setting up a course where module access is sequential, using release conditions (70% on the prior module's quiz). Currently, until the condition is met, the next module is completely hidden. I'd like it to be visible but locked. Is this possible? Thanks in advance!

D2L quiz release working for some students, not all
I set up a quiz with the release conditions to visit lecture materials/modules. All students have visited the right materials at this point, but only some students can see the quiz. I've checked the release conditions, checked that students have visited the right content, so I don't understand why D2L isn't showing them…

Intelligent Agent Release Conditions
I am currently working on setting up Intelligent Agents and was curious what Release Conditions work best when trying to connect publisher linked content? I was considering 'Has Not Completed Content Topic' since these are external learning tools, does that work to catch if a student has not completed work?

Can a release condition restrict a student from taking 2nd quiz attempt until content is reviewed?
Is it possible in D2L to make a piece of content mandatory based on a grade on an assessment? In other words, if a student fails an assessment, can we force them to review a specific module before they can attempt the assessment a second time? If yes, how would this be set up?

Release Conditions for items that have been graded
I'm trying to set up an Intelligent Agent for students who have not submitted to an assignment folder. Before I assign a grade of zero to that assignment, the release condition works beautifully. After I assign a grade of zero, it no longer works, even though technically there is still no submission to that assignment…

How come a text grade item isn't an option in intelligent agents?
I have a text grade item i'd like to attach a release condition. Specifically, I'd like D2L to send an email when a user receives a comment in the text grade item. When I try to create this intelligent agent, the text grade item doesn't appear as an option for me to select. Only grade items that are quizzes, assignments,…

Controlling access throughout course page
Is there a way to control access to certain areas of a course page? Am I able to control which students can see a module area under content. We have courses where two sections require different information but fall within the same course page. I can control access through Special Access to assignments; but I'm wondering if…

Release Condiitons and Start Dates on Modules
Hi all, I know that start and end dates don't work with release conditions so I'm curious to know if anyone has a workaround for the following scenario. We have an instructor who has a student that needs access to each week's module content prior to the start of each class. The instructor currently sets the start date on…

Powerpoint not accessible to students
Hi. In one of my courses, the Powerpoint title in the module is not clickable for the students (same for me when i am in student view), in my other course it is. The formatting of the PPTs, and all the settings are the same from course to course. I can't figure it out and don't see the issue anywhere online. Would…

When I put restrictions (via the Intelligent Agent) on an Assignment folder, a student can only submit to Assignment Folder #2 once the teacher marks Assignment Folder #1. Why can the student not see the Grade item for Assignment 2 on the Grades page?

How to make a global Widget that functions based on the current course?
The following specific issue is an example of a more general one we're facing: We have several small features (widgets, intelligent agents, possibly others) that we'd like to add to many courses all at once, and manage the feature as a single entity rather than go into each course one by one. But they need to function…

Dual languages for a single course
We offer students the ability to complete one of our courses in one of two languages, but we have to manage this as two separate courses in the system. Is there any way to combine these so we simply manage a single course, but students can select a language at the beginning, or better yet, toggle between the two during the…
