Are release conditions causing next button to not load the next page?

Hello there, hoping you can help us solve this mystery,

We are experiencing issues when using the next button after a quiz attempts page.

Issue 1.
The quiz is set to multiple attempts and the learner must score 100% to trigger a release condition that would release the next content. We found that even after the user has scored 100% and has therefore satisfied the condition, when they click on the next button, it takes them back to the same quiz to do it again.

Issue 2.
Another issue is that sometimes the next button will also randomly open a new browser that links to a PDF. We have tried to remove any links to the PDF from the quiz (feedback, header/footer) or webpages.

Are release conditions causing this issue? We are creating a digital escape room and would like to use the release conditions feature.

Please help!

  • Hi Noelle.P,

Issue 1 - the normal flow is for the learner to be taken to the quiz submissions page/quiz results display after completing the quiz. Depending on the content view and configuration the learner needs to navigate back to the content. In your use case, when the learner satisfies the conditions the new content should be displayed (using the recent quiz result).

Issue 2 - not sure what's going on here. I would not expect this issue to be related to release conditions.

Best to connect with the D2L Support team who can investigate both issues being experienced.

    Hope that helps!
