Is there a way to remove release conditions for one student?

When students have IEPs, there is often the accommodation to reduce number of tasks. Sometimes I would like to remove a task for one of these students, however the only work around I have found is to impersonate the student and submit something for them. I realize that I could create a "group" for that student to give them their own path, however I think there has to be an easier way to just say one release condition can be removed for selected students. Any ideas?

I think what you're looking for is an exemption. Here is a link to how Brightspace handles exemptions and how to set them up and to ensure your grade book also reflects that (check out the menu on the left side of the page).
