Date-Based Release Conditions for Certificates

Hi,

I have a course where every year or so we update the details of the certificate and I don't want learners who have already received the previous certificate to receive this new version of the certificate. Currently, the release conditions for this certificate are that learners have to complete 3 modules and then visit a content topic and this criteria will remain the same.

Is it possible to create a new certificate with the same criteria but add a date component to it? I can't seem to find anything that works perfectly. Or are there any other solutions where only learners from a certain date will receive the new certificate?

Thank you!

Currently there doesn't seem to be a way to add just a "date" release condition to an award/certificate but you could use a work around of having a piece of content (link, document, Page) only be available on a certain date that then has a "Visited" release condition attached to it. That would in theory make the certificate available after the date. I think this would be a good idea for a PIE (Product Idea Exchange) so I would recommend you put your idea there as I am sure there may be others that would like to have a similar feature.
