Rubric Overall Score
Is there a way to remove/hide the "Overall Score" section from a Rubric? It seems redundant given that students can already see their total score, and the Gradebook already translates that score to a letter grade, or P/NP as applicable, for each assessment. Or alternatively, is there a way to put an equation in that'll…

Can upload documents to a former classes' rubric to check it and download the results?
I basically have a former class that was fully developed including assignments and rubrics. Now I am teaching a similar class, but without the fully developed D2L. So simply put, I want to upload writing assignments to the former class and evaluate them according to the former rubric (and Turnitin).

Where can I find the Criterion ID and Levels Ids for a rubric I created?
I have created a rubric with only two levels: Perfect (the photo uploaded in the assignment has content) and Unacceptable (the photo uploaded in the assignment is blank). I used a Holistic rubric because I just wanted to use a single criterion (content or no content) for this type of assignment. This is the code I wrote in…

Competency assessment type
Can competencies be linked to an assessment type other than rubric or numeric? I've experimented with adding some pass/fail grade items to my gradebook; however the competency structure tool only shows numeric and rubric as possible grade types. Can any other grade item types be used?

Is it possible to release feedback but hide grades until later?
I had thought the option Hide scores from students in rubric options might do it but, having tested, it doesn't seem to. Regards, Marion

Rubrics not appearing as graded
Hello All our Rubrics that have been graded in Brightspace are no longer appearing as graded for our students. See first screenshot from a learner’s account stating Criterion score as nil/ 10. Then see second screenshot from an admin account showing Criterion score graded as 10/10. This hasn’t been a problem in the past,…

How to provide different rubric mark for individual students in group assignment.
Some of my group assignments include an individual component but the whole piece is submitted together. My current rubric includes both group and individual components but I can't figure out how to get D2L Brightspace to allow me to publish the group grade and then provide a separate individual grade that utilizes the…

How do I add a Rubric (already created) to a Gradebook item?
I want to add I rubric I've already created to several gradebook items, but the only option I find is creating a new rubric for each item. Am I missing something or is there a setting that got turned off somewhere?

How do you create a repository to share rubrics?
How can an admin create a repository to share rubrics across a department? I want to lock rubrics so they cannot be edited. Thanks.

Can you share rubrics between departments in Brightspace?
What is the easiest way to share department rubrics within Brightspace? Since rubrics are easily edited, I do have a concern about keeping them in tact when sharing. Thanks!

Can I create dropboxes with more than one gradebook item attached?
In my school board, we assess students on four categories. Often a single project will be assessing more than one of these categories. I would love to be able to have a rubric for each category being assessed for that project's dropbox. For example, a video production would have a rubric for the planning component, a final…

Can a marking guide be created for grading?
I can see that rubrics can be used to grade assessments. Even though you can use custom points for different categories, there can be a lot of difference between [for example] a fail - which could lie anywhere between 0 and 5 for a particular criterion. Is there a place in Brightspace where a marking guide can be tied to…

In assignments (dropbox), the textbox is hidden when the rubric is open
An instructor has reported that some students are unable to see the textbox for a Text submission-type assignment when the attached rubric is open. The rubric seems to cover up the textbox. Once the rubric is hidden, the textbox appears. Again, this seems to be sporadic as it works normally for some students and not for…

Group Project ratings
I would like to be able to use the govt provided rubrics with peer ratings on group projects. It would be nice if Brightspace had a feature that allowed anonymous posts that the instructor could read but no other students could see. This is crucial for data input.

Moving a rubric from Org level to Dept level
Greetings, I've looked for the answer to this but haven't found it. I'm a new admin so I'm just getting the hang of Brightspace Admin. I've created several rubrics that are intended for department-wide use at the Org level (from Rubrics via the gear). However, the department can't access them and I don't see how I can move…

Pre-checking rubrics when grading.
Hello, Is there a way to configure rubrics to be pre-checked to the highest mark per criteria so that I don't have to check a grade for each criteria. Some of my rubrics can be quite long and I'd ideally like to have the rubric assume that the student will receive full marks on the rubric and I can then adjust certain…

OSCE or Practical Exams
Hello Brightspace Community! I'm wondering if anyone has used Brightspace to evaluate OSCEs or in-person practical exams. We are currently still evaluating practical exams using paper-based evaluation forms and I am looking for creative ways to digitalize this process. Thank you for your input. Melissa

Tying Awards To Rubrics
I'm trying to give awards to students based on their threshold level for a specific criteria on a rubric in a course. The rubric is just one criteron row. When I create the award, I set that a student has to hit a specific threshold (i.e. Level 3) on that criteron row (not the overall rubric row). I create an award for…
