    🎆 July 2025/20.25.07 Release Notes are now live and ready for review in all languages!

    Also, the June 2025/20.25.06 Release Notes have been republished to include the following updates:

    • Updated the Courses – New enhanced and accessible experience in production environments | New release note to include updated clarification about Form Elements and configuration variables.
    • Added the Data Hub – Larger Version data in Creator+ Brightspace Data Sets | Updated release note. This feature was originally released without full documentation.

    Thanks! Customer question re. new window icon: Is it correct to assume that the icon will only appear in Brightspace system menus and not for any links that they create and choose that the links should open in “New window”…?

    @Giles.A.619 I reached out to the team that developed this feature, and their response is as follows:


    You are correct that this will only appear in Brightspace system menus. It is not set up for any links that are created by Students/Instructors/Administrators.

    August Release seems to bring a new and slim look for content units, but I do not see this mentioned in the August Release Notes? Can you provide som context to the design change and also let us know whether we can expect other content design changes in coming releases? Thanks.

    @Birgitte.B.96 I think it was the July release already, see https://community.d2l.com/brightspace/kb/articles/32742-july-2025-20-25-07#new-content-experience-display-existing-course-overview-content-updated

    However, in our case it was only changed after updating the config variable, as mentioned in the release notes.

    Hello @Allard.N.654 😊 I see. Due to vacations we have reviewed both July and August at the same time and did not notice that the new look is part of the package of features introduced in July, controlled by d2l.Tools.Content.EnableLessonsEnhancedTOC. Still, it is not mentioned directly in the July notes either, but at least now we know what controls it. Great 😊

    Hi @Birgitte.B.96 we understand your excitement about Createspace and are working hard on getting everything finalized and ready. The release notes are meant to be a snapshot of product capabilities at the time of release, but we will have more updates in future release notes and other articles when final details about Createspace are ready to share.     We are happy to hear of your excitement about Createspace and we are working hard and getting it finalized and ready. The release notes are meant to be a snapshot of each feature at the time of release and we include all the information we can at time of publishing. More resources about CS will be coming in the future.
