Search for terms in a discussion
When reading posts, I might want to refer a student back to someone else's post, but I don't remember the content of everyone's post. Is there a search function for a discussion forum, where I can search for words or terms and see which posts contain them? That would also be useful for detecting inauthentic/copied work.

D2L Discussion Boards - Major Failing
Why don't you allow the "special access" option for discussion boards as you do for assessments such as quizzes and drop box items. This is a major failing of your system. There are times often enough, where students have a legitimate reason to request and receive additional time to post on a discussion board.

Even clicking on the highlighted number leaves a message "un-read"?
