Do I choose my own subject or, are there subjects in discussion tips?

Is there a way to set the discussions so that all comments are displayed in their entirety as opposed to having to click the more button to display the entire message? Having to manually click the more button to read each message breaks the flow of reading the comments and responses. Thanks Rene
