Can have an early release of a module for a student?

Hi Folks,

Question I got today -

"Do you know if we can have an early release of a module for a student?"

I'm thinking a group of one and set a release condition, but when I do that, it only makes that module available for that single student. Would we have to remove the release condition at some point for the student, or have a copy of the module available for everyone else?

Or is there another way I am mising?

You haven't missed anything, unfortunately. Here is a PIE to upvote. Add content release to named students (D12101)

Yes, it would work to have an early release group, put the group restriction on the content, then remove the condition. I have done that. And duplicate content for different students makes a bit of a mess but has been done.
