Kaltura integration with Brightspace - any issues encountered at rollover?
Hi
when rolling over a test batch of modules in advance of our actual rollover, we noticed that the Kaltura media gallery within Brightspace was empty i.e. the content hadn't copied across
Have any other Kaltura/Brightspace integration users had any issues with video content copying across during rollover?
And if so how did you fix it?
The LT1 1.3 Advance integration looks fine and is applied to all models
We are following a pretty standard rollover approach i.e.
1. We create empty course shells for each module for the coming year by transferring information on the modules that will be running in the coming year from our Student Information System into Brightspace (IPSIS) .
2. We then create a csv file that copies content from the previous year's modules into the coming year's modules
3. This csv file is uploaded and processed using the Brightspace Copy Course Bulk - CCB - tool

Hi Charles,
These changes are made by the Organization. You don't have to be unenrolled from SUNY Adirondack to access your new courses on Oneonta.
I recommend reaching out to the SUNY Oneonta registrar's office. They will be able to help you and any concerns you may still have.

Adding portfolio to navbar
I need to activate the porfolio in ours courses, but I can´t find the Portfolio's link to create an icon in navbar. I checked all variables are correctly configured
Anybody can help me?

Not sure if this is something now missing from the Turnitin app or in the native Brightspace assessment options. How are others doing this?

Hi @Rebecca.F.235 - if an existing page is already over the 2 million character limit when you go to edit it, the page cannot be saved until it is under the limit. Users will see a error message with this information along with a suggestion to make edits locally before uploading into Brightspace. Clicking cancel will leave the page unchanged. We do not remove any characters from existing content pages, they will continue to be visible to learners as they currently exist, only on editing will the limits apply. With this in the July release:
Brightspace Editor includes a new limitation of 2 million characters including hidden formatting for all Content files. This limitation applies to any content experience or when using Manage Files.
What actually happens to pages that have gone over this limit? Is content removed? AN error?
A variable is set to 3 decimals for a 2+2 arithmetic problem, but I get 2or 3 when testing, why?

Hi Kristin, These identifiers are GUIDs that follow the 'standard' GUID format XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX and are 36 characters in length. Hope that helps!
Designing or Attaching a Form for Students to Submit in D2L
I would like to design a form for students to complete and submit along with many of their assignments in D2L. It is a form that will note the extent of their use of AI and/or ChatGPT in the assignment. What is the best way to do that? Is it possible to design forms in D2L? Is it possible to attach them to assignments? Is it possible to attach them to assignments that also require a file submission. If it is not possible to do this within D2L, can I design a form in Microsoft 365 and attach it?
