Permission to see User in API
Hi team, I'm trying to access the UserData block of the calling user context, by the following Endpoint:
If I use the URL/d2l/api/lp/1.43/users/ as an administrative user, I can see exactly the information I'm after (in this case specifically, I'm trying to retrieve the current users External Email). However, for a non-administrative user, it always returns 403: Not Authorized.
I've looked into the User Privacy controls, and having switched various flags on and off, nothing seems to change. I'm at a loss of what else to look for. Any thoughts on what permissions would need to be enabled to see the current users UserData field?
Thanks,

Designing a Form, With Checklist, For Students to Submit With Assignments
I would like to design a form for students to submit with many of their written assignments. Specifically, I would like to have a form where they note the extent of use of AI/ChatGPT with many submissions. I would include a checklist describing possible uses of AI, and a category of "Other" for them to describe the use. I can do this simply by having a word document from them to fill out and submit with each assignment, but I was wondering if there was some functionality within D2L to allow for this. It would be similar to an affidavit to be submitted with each assignment acknowledging that the work submitted was their own (though that is not exactly what this form will say). Any ideas?
Re: Embedded Videos
Hello Darren,
It looks like your University is using the D2L End User Support. Could you please submit us a support ticket with screenshots from your courses, and we will take a look.
If the issue is browser-specific, could you please check if it can be reproduced in various browsers?

Is it possible for Instructors to import feedback comments to the Grades Tool
Hi There,
I'm wondering if there is any way for instructors to import feedback comments via the Import function within the Grades Tool?
Currently the csv file only contains columns for whatever Grade items have been selected for export. Is it possible to add a feedback column for import when populated? A similar query was submitted to the community 3 years ago -
When manually entering grade via the Enter Grades in the Grades tool there is a field for comments but I'm not seeing a way that these comments can be imported.
Any advice appreciated!
Jennifer
Re: "Invisible" Forum
Thank you for the update Chelsey!
Associated topics with the Forum would need also to visible for the students to see them.
Glad it worked out!
Stay Safe !
