Re: Students who didn't attempt a Quiz still need to be able to see solutions?
Thank you for taking the time to answer.
That's totally absurd. So they're useless as a teaching tool for the whole class. Is there a plan to implement this functionality?
Why are single user groups no longer create a group when a student is added?
Until recently when a single user group category was create and restricted to a section, a student changed sections they would be removed from their single user group for that section and a new one was created in the section they were added to.
We have had to do it this way because of the 200 group limit per category and now this is not working. they are removed from their old section but a new group is not created.
WHY???

Re: Pulse App - Upcoming events issue
Hi,
Regarding app settings, there is no option to "ensure the weekly repeat pattern is correctly recognized." Are there any updates regarding how to make sure recurring events in Brightspace calendars appear for students.
Furthermore, how can administration support students using the app? When I log in to the app on my own device, I see no events and cannot impersonate students or see their settings.
Thanks,
Daniel
Re: grade point bonus after max point of category reached
Hi Goran,
The change in the gradebook can be done, but I would advise the instructor to try it in a test course/sandbox first.
Weighted grading requires the right setup to ensure all categories add up to 100%. Testing this would make sure that the changes have the intended effects.
I, personally, wouldn't change a live course, with real grades, without testing first how the conversion would make the grades look like.
Best regards,
Gabriel

Assignment Text Annotations not saving
We are seeing an issue where we try to edit text annotations with typos and the the edit is not saving. After the change has been made, it seems to revert to the original version with a typo. According to a Brightspace Community post, I saw that this was fixed in July 2024, but this is still happening.

feedback comments not saving fully
Hello,
When using the "note" function while grading, some of the comments are not saving fully and I have to go back in and re-type them. This seems to be a relatively new issue, and I am wondering if anyone else is having it?
Thank you,

Re: Release Condition based on Calculated Grade Item
Listing calculated/formula columns in the release conditions would be very helpful. I want to only release Discussion Boards to people who have not already maxed out on Discussion Board points. I can create a calculated grade/column to calculate their DB score, but I can't use it as a release condition. For each student, I have to manually enter a dummy grade into a new grade column and use that.
Re: Release Notes Updates
Hi @Ashley.B.406
I assume that "Improved Media Library to help better organize and manage your course assets" is "Creator Space" (CS) or a first step towards CS? I base this on what was said about CS in the product webinar on Sept. 11th. or did I misunderstood?
If "Improved Media Lib …." is related to CS, I am confused why this is not mentioned in the rel. note? A link to an article about Creator Space and the releases to come, would be very useful.
As you can understand we are very excited about the coming of CS ;-)

Re: Learning path creation
@Colt.K.2845 We've handled this by either using one quiz with weights on the answer choices (100% for option A, 50% for option B, 0% for option C) on a MC question, so that the release condition can be based on score on a quiz; or by using self-enroll groups so that the release condition is based on group enrollment. Either way, the modules will be hidden from students until they take the quiz or self-enroll, and then the appropriate module will be released to them.

Re: D2L is Reheating PIE!
Can I make a suggestion that placing brand new submissions in a category of "NOT UNDER CONSIDERATION" in upper case red text feels totally counter to what I understood to be the purpose of PIE, and unnecessarily dismissive of the genuine pain points with the platform that clients are sharing with you.
It feels like a red reject stamp has been put on the idea before the community has had a chance to comment on whether this is also an issue for them.
A rewording to something like "Awaiting community feedback" (and not in red text) would better aligned with what I understood PIE to be about, and more respectful to people who are taking the time to share their ideas.
