Re: Known Issues List Updates
@Jane.M.801, thanks for your feedback. We are implementing a change. Going forward, our notifications will provide you a link to the Known and Fixed Issues page instead of a download link.
Have a good day!
Re: Known Issues List Updates
A new version of the Known Issues List is now available. The most recently added known issues are flagged as *New*.
Re: Community Feedback🗨️
Hi there, D2L Team. 🙂
I was just reading
and towards the bottom there's a great "What do you think?" section warmly inviting feedback "in the comments below." However I couldn't find any way to make a comment. Did I perhaps circumvent that opportunity by clicking "yes" rather than "no" to the "Was this article helpful?" prompt at the bottom of the page? Maybe I did. But it seemed odd not to find an obvious way to respond directly to the two explicit questions/prompts presented to the reader in that particular paragraph.
Is it possible for students to save drafts of their quiz responses so they can work on them over tim
We are experimenting with using a Quiz that includes short answers and a Panopto video submission to replace an assignment that required students to record a video, upload a link or MP4 file and attach it to the drop box and also download a Word document, complete their work, then upload their completed document to the dropbox. The hope is that this will streamline processes for students in completing and submitting their work, and help save time for faculty who currently have to download documents and recordings to assess them. (The only downside is that I don't think we can link our "Assignment" rubric to a "Quiz," so we're thinking we will need to have two screens open when marking.)
Our instructional design folks weren't sure whether students could continuously save drafts of their quiz responses (including their Panopto video submission) and then submit everything when they're ready. So far, a couple of students have added text responses that they were able to save. Does anyone know if this will continue to work?
Re: Uploaded a PDF w/in links but the links are not linkable
Hi Teresa,
Are you adding the file to Content? I ask because PDF files in content preserve the links. If you are adding to content, and the links are not working, I would reach out to your LMS support.
Best,
Andrea
Where do I find repository or org level reports for the LORs?
I saw that the LOR (learning object repository) has an event log for each object. Are there repository-level or org-level reports we can run? If so, what kind of reports are there? Where do we find them? I do not see that information in documentation.
Learning Object Repository-Link update
Hi, my previous manager placed a link into a Learning Object Repository, but the information needs to be updated now. Please advise on how to make changes to the information or if we need to add a new updated link (how?).
Re: SIS Integration with Ellucian Colleague
Hi @Harold.H.332
You're going to have to forgive me a bit here because SIS is not my strength skill- but I've connected with a few folks here at D2L who know a bunch!
Here's what they've shared back with me
If you're looking to set up programs, you will need do this separately from the SIS ILP integration, as ILP does not know about these levels.
The relationships can be set up in many different ways (API, manually, etc.).
I'm not sure if this is exactly the feedback you're looking for or if you have a few follow up questions.
If you do- leave me a reply here and use the @ function here in the chat. It will tag me back into the conversation and help me track down some more information for you.
Grateful to you for connecting here in Community and posting your question!
API access / token issues via OAuth2
We're currently facing API access / token issues via OAuth2. We're using a Brightspace user account (i.e., not an institutional account) in our Brightspace to authenticate access for API use. As this is a Brightspace account, we're by-passing the institution's SSO by using a redirect link
which allows the account to log in via the Brightspace authentication and authenticate to the site. However, via this route we're unable to generate an access token for API access. What could be causing this issue?
Re: Indirect to direct login
Hello Ellie, I'm sorry to hear that your portal is down! There are ways to configure multiple SSO implementations for the same Brightspace org. An alternative is to leverage Brightspace local login. However, these would need to be options explored by your Admins and D2L support.
I would suggest connecting with your school's IT Help Desk to have them connect with your D2L support team to work around this!
