I've seen the new solution to get rid of the third-party cookies issues when using LTI 1.3 advantage in this blog:

The postmessage seem a nice solution for this problem and we would like to implement this.
Since D2L was part in writing this new spec. Is this already supported by Brightspace? And if not, when can we expect this?

Definition of “Anonymous” differs
An instructor brought this to my attention the other day.
Has anyone noticed that the definition of "Anonymous" is different between “Discussion Topics” and “Surveys”. In fact, in the context of discussion posts, the term "Anonymous" seems a bit misleading.
As an Instructor, here’s what I see when I click on the ? to see a definition of “Anonymous” for a Discussion Topic:
Reading this, I am led to believe that no names will be visible for posts in this Topic. And when we try it out we see that, yes, this is true for Learners. This is what a post looks like:
But for the Instructor, they see this:
And when they click “Show Author”, oops, the student’s name appears:
So…why is this an issue? Well, a student may think they can post something negative or controversial to a Discussion Forum and not be identifiable, but this is not the case.
At the very least, this should be explained in the definition alert box. Students should also be informed that the Instructor will be able to see their names even if the other students can't.
In contrast, when you choose to make a Survey “Anonymous”, this is the definition you see:
And the results, when they are submitted, are truly anonymous:

Is that 2 years from "jan 2023"? Or less? I can see that the article was updated last in dec.'22, but I remember seeing it already in spring '21. Could end of migration support be only 1 year away?

Unfortunately not. The quiz tool in Brightspace doesn't allow manipulation of the mark's denominator, nor can scoring be done for a question that was added afterwards that wasn't attempted.
The simplest solution is to create an assignment worth 10 points to represent this other part of the test, and weight it appropriately in Grades with the (72-point) quiz.
New Banner integration and Crosslisting
Is anyone in the new Ellucian-Brightspace Banner integration trial? If so, are you still doing your D2L crosslisting manually, or is there a better solution?

As @Aasim Yac947 responded those settings do need to be set. However, the little calculator icon that should appear for students (as you mention you're not seeing any difference when you select “Display how final grade was calculated to users“) won't appear unless you choose to display "points grade" or "weighted grade" in the Org Unit Display Options:
When your students login in and check grades, they will see the "points achieved" or "weight amount" and a calculator icon and be able to click on it for more info:

Thanks for reaching out. Yes at this time, Video Notes created from within Media Library/Video Note tool are limited to 30 minutes in length. Previously they were only 3 minutes in length but with the needs of remote learning over the past 2 years we extended it to 30 minutes! You may however upload your own video file that is more than 30 minutes- just not the webcam recording from within Brightspace.
