Re: Designing or Attaching a Form for Students to Submit in D2L
Hi David, MS Word documents can be added as attachments to an assignment. Users can download the form (MS Word docx), complete and submit as part of a file submission. Thereafter these submissions can be evaluated in Brightspace. In a similar way, Microsoft Forms can be added as a weblink to an assignment, with instructions for a Learner to complete. Responses to MS Forms are collated and evaluated outside of Brightspace. The Brightspace Quiz and Survey tools may also be useful when considering options to capture the information.
If your institution is using the ePortfolio tool you can create fillable templates (dependant on user role permissions). The ePortfolio template can be shared with Leaners, attached to the assignment as a link etc. from which they can create an ePortfolio artifact and submit as part of a file sunmission. If relevant this flow is best described in the following resource About Form Templates,
Hope that helps!

@David.W.734 You have to click Product Idea Exchange in the right sidebar first. It will open a new tab and log you in. Then come back here and click the link in the reply.

Re: Programmatically login user
Ok so the access token itself will by default last 1 hour you can set it up to be longer if needed but not recommended. If the access token expires then you get a error at which point you trade in the refresh token to get a new access token and refresh token. As long as that trade in occurs at least once in the 30 days from the last time it was updated then should should always be able to connect without the need to re login the service account.
Re: Has anyone had issues LibGuides using ILP due to cross listing Process?
We use Banner here with ILP (formerly used Holding Tank), so I'm not sure how helpful this is… but we have LibGuides keyed to work off the template code (which are human readable) and we send this as custom variable via the External Learning Tool.
We use reverse search in LibGuides. So for example, a course linked to a template code of MATH-260 we can search on the code of MATH-260 or MATH-2** or just MATH*.
I just checked one of our cross listed courses, and it does receive a valid template code, of I assume, the first course in the crosslist.

I saved an assignment score (with a rubric) as draft, but release conditions are being evaluated for it?
Is this a bug or by design?
I have an Award associated with the release condition, "User achieves a score of Level 3 on Rubric X". I evaluated the assignments, but SAVED THEM AS DRAFT. Now users are receiving their awards - they can't see their feedback or score on the assignment, but they're getting their Award.
Re: I saved an assignment score (with a rubric) as draft, but release conditions are being evaluated...
Hi @Maureen Barrow !
What you're seeing is as designed, as a direct result of the auto-save functionality of rubrics. Rubrics auto-save even though the evaluation overall is in draft and hasn't been released to the learner yet. The development team will be addressing this in a future release.

Re: Supporting adaptive assessments
Hi Andy, In lieu of adaptive branching not being available in the Quiz tool some clients are using 3rd party tools such as H5P which does support branching scenarios (See ) the grades from which can be published/captured in Grades. The Survey tool does support branching however its not possible to capture the results from the survey into Grades. The survey responses are captured in the Survey data sets and survey reports. The issue have then is getting the relevant data into Banner. Thanks, Chris
