Brightspace Mobile Updates: Brightspace Parent & Guardian is now part of Brightspace Pulse

What’s new?

Parent & Guardian feature screen in Brightspace Pulse

To simplify the mobile experience for families, Brightspace Parent & Guardian functionality is now integrated directly into the Brightspace Pulse app. Parents and guardians can use Brightspace Pulse as their single supported mobile application to log in and view their child’s information, including upcoming work, recent grades, and Activity Feed updates.

For new and existing Brightspace Parent & Guardian users, please continue to use Brightspace Pulse with existing login credentials to access the same great features of Brightspace Parent & Guardian.

How to Get Started in Brightspace Pulse as Parents and Guardians

Parents and guardians can download Brightspace Pulse from Apple App Store or Google Play and log in using their existing Brightspace Parent & Guardian login credentials. Access continues to respect all previous privacy policies.

Please share these step-by-step instructions with parents and guardians:

Download Brightspace Pulse app from Apple App Store or Google Play.
Open Brightspace Pulse and review the welcome and tutorial screens, or skip them and review later.
Use the search bar to find your child’s school or institution by name or Brightspace web address (URL).
Log in to the school or institution with the same credentials used for Brightspace Parent & Guardian.
View your child’s information in Brightspace Pulse.

For Institutional Administrators

Please include this information in your back-to-school packages and other communications for parents and guardians.

Why the change?

We are consolidating parent and guardian mobile access into Brightspace Pulse to reduce confusion caused by multiple apps and provide a more consistent, reliable experience across roles.

App Support

Important: With the July 2026 release, the standalone Brightspace Parent & Guardian app is no longer supported and will not be receiving updates. Parents and guardians should download and use Brightspace Pulse to continue receiving mobile updates and support.

At the end of August, any users who open Brightspace Parent & Guardian will be notified of the change with the message below and prompted to move to Brightspace Pulse (subject to change):

App Message: The Brightspace Parent & Guardian app is no longer supported. Please download Brightspace Pulse to access parent and guardian features

Please note, the application will be removed from Apple App Store and Google Play Store in the near future.

Need help logging in?

For login or credential assistance, parents and guardians should contact their child’s school/institution IT Help Desk. Contact details are usually available on the school/institution’s website.
