How do we integrate Brightspace to Copilot Studio?
The new standard is MCP (model context protocol) and we would like to connect this to Brightspace. We would prefer a streamable server to place calls instead of API, will it be on a future road map at all? Has anyone tried using Composio or Claude for the connection?

Brightspace does not natively support MCP or streamable AI endpoints at this time.
Product Roadmap information is available from the D2L Community. Unfortunately there are no MCP or streamable AI endpoint related changes included as of my post. This may change over time so best to check back on this resource periodically.
There is a Brightspace Data Streams project that is currently in a beta release phase. Please reach out to your organization’s D2L Account Team for information about this project.
In the short-term an option would be to build your own MCP layer on top of the Valence API. The following resource on the Composio website may also be of interest
The request for Brightspace to natively support MCP or streamable AI endpoints is a good one. You should consider making a submission into the Product Idea Exchange for review and consideration.
