Restricting Navigation for Learners

Good Day,

Is there a way in the system that we can prevent a learner from moving forward to another unit before spending the actual time it takes to complete previous unit? Currently we are only seeing the option to mark it complete as soon they touch a unit or set it to manual, and they can mark it complete as soon as they touch it. We are having problems with this because leaners skip content or spend a few seconds on content but then are being marked completed, earning the course award regardless and then being paid for the course length we have confirmed in the system, not for the actual time they took to complete it.

Hello @Irika.H.750, thanks for your question!

At this time there's no release condition available for us to place a time limit on content views for release of an award.

I wonder if using a quiz or a survey would help you here, as a way to test their knowledge of the material that was in the module, even if it was a few quick questions. You could then associate your award with completion of that item.
