Certificate of Completion

Question

We are issuing a certificate of completion after the course is completed. The name is filling in correctly with the text string. However we are having issues with the Date of Completion. I am using the correct text string but it is not populating.

Any insight or is it only one text field available?

Hi Connie,

It sounds like the certificate template might only be pulling specific data fields. Make sure the “Date of Completion” field is correctly mapped in the certificate settings and that the text string matches the system variable for completion date (sometimes it’s different from the course end date). If it still doesn’t populate, check if the certificate only allows one dynamic field per section, or consider using a different text placeholder for the date.

Here is the list of replacement strings.  We use the Certificates and havent seen any issues though…we used the {AwardDate}.  I did a step by step for myself (below) as when we add new Certs I was bound to forget.  :)
