A dean is exploring the possibility of using Brightspace to administer a practice certification exam that is currently required for standard certification. At present, students take the exam at a testing center and record their answers on Scantron sheets. The dean then distributes the results to the appropriate faculty within the program.

Question 1:

The exam assesses 5–6 competencies, each with its specific time limit (different for each competency). Would it be possible within Brightspace to apply variable time limits to different sections of a single exam?

Question 2:

In addition, the dean provides faculty with student results. These results are reported as percentages; for example, a student scored 70% on the certification exam. Is there a way to hide the questions and answers from the instructors?

Below are the answers to your queries

Question 1: For now, we don't have the ability to set separate time limits for the different sections of a single exam. Time limits are set against each exam. If you feel this is a new feature to be implemented in the future, you can open an idea in the Product Exchange Idea.

Question 2: As long as the instructors have permission to Grade Submitted Quizzes, they can see the user-submitted quiz answers in the quizzes tool.

Meanwhile, if the results you are sharing with instructors have the quiz questions and learner answers, please check on how the Quiz Results Display is set for that quiz.
