Do students have access to the graphical equation editor to respond in quizzes?

I see that instructors can use the graphical equation editor to write their questions but do students have the same ability for a fill in the blank or short answer question? This is specifically for a calculus course and the instructor doesn't want to use multiple choice. What is the best way to go about this?

    Hi @Jaymi.W.61,

Thank you for reaching out to the Brightspace Community!

For the workflow you are trying to achieve, I suggest you inform the instructor to select the "Written response" type of question when creating the quiz questions.

The written response questions have the functionality of allowing students access to the HTML editor by selecting the option as shown in the image below.

Once the question has been set up with the option selected, the students will have access to the HTML editor just as the instructor would, allowing them to use the graphical equation interface to answer any of the questions.

You can find information on creating a quiz question in the link https://community.d2l.com/brightspace/kb/articles/3413-create-and-configure-a-quiz#create-questions .

Please review the information provided and let us know if this resource helped complete your intended workflow.

    Kind regards,

    Roqeeb,
