September 2023/20.23.9 Release Notes have been republished to include the following changes:
- Updated the Brightspace Virtual Assistant – New localized icon | Updated feature to include clarification about the purchasing of Brightspace Virtual Assistant.
- Removed an obsolete statement from the Technical Details section of the Data Hub – LTI Launches permission is no longer required | Removed feature.

Normally the High Impact Timeline is updated at the same time as the initial release of the Release Notes. Right now, the HIT has an updated date of September. Do you know if/when it will be updated to correspond with the 20.23.10 October release? Thanks!

The LTI – View summarized results in Migration Log with an improved interface | Updated feature that appears in the November release notes was released in October 2023, with minor updates occurring in the November update. If you already noticed the update in October, you will not notice any additional updates to your Brightspace instance in November for this feature.

Are the icons representing plug-ins within the quick link dialog also changing (Scroll to bottom of Quick Link list to see list of Quick Link Plugins). They are not referenced explicitly as changing but currently use the same icon as quick links and assume this is being updated. But to what? -
Hi Marty - if you are referring to the iconography in the quick links (not using QL as it's also shortened for Question Library) - I believe the intention is these icons will become monochrome (v. the various colour/black & white icons which is the case today).
I think this sentence in the RN mentions the change: "Finally, this feature updates the icons shown in Insert Quicklink to ensure all icons use the new style."

Thanks @Bruce.B.64 - yeah the image does not show third party examples: The default icons used in third party - use the same icons that are changing (i.e. they use the same icon as Course File in Insert Stuff Framework and URL in Insert Quick Link - As we have quite a few resources to support third party - which do have some images to update.
Its not a big deal we can wait for the test site update and see what they turn out to be and go from there if we are not sure what third-party icon will be so we can make sure our internal docs align with the new style.
Example of current third-party icon default when there is no icon URL provided (i.e. think remote plugin link URL field)

@Marty.M.796 : To the best of my knowledge, Third-Party icons are not changing to the new style. Only native functions are being updated with new icons.

Thanks @Keegan.P.699 Appreciate it. We look forward to the last phase of the updates in a future release when all icons are the same style, and we can have an icon party. So close now!
