Thank you for sharing this detailed feedback! This is a great observation about the quiz/gradebook workflow in Brightspace.
What you're describing - where enabling Bonus on a quiz question doesn't automatically enable Can Exceed on the linked grade item - is a known usability gap. Since this is a product improvement request rather than a bug, the best path forward is to submit it directly to D2L's product team via a PIE (Product Idea Exchange) item or upvoting one that fits your needs and your use case.

Re: Jenzabar SONIS integration - Help Needed
Hi! Thanks for reaching out. Because this involves integrating Brightspace with your SIS (Jenzabar SONIS), we'd recommend connecting with your D2L Account Team. They can help review your current implementation, discuss the available integration options, and connect you with the appropriate technical resources or implementation specialists.
Re: Jenzabar SONIS integration - Help Needed
Hi @Heather.M.233,
Thank you for following up. We did some digging internally and can confirm that our Implementation team is actively working with your organization and SONIS to get the integration working correctly.
I also understand that there have already been discussions regarding this. The Implementation team is best positioned to continue working through the technical details and support the path toward a resolution. I’ll also make sure your message and concerns are passed along internally.
Thank you for your patience while the teams continue working through this.
Re: help Comm291
Hello, first off are you a learner getting started on your learning journey within a course? Or are you an instructor looking to get started on building a course?
In either case, it would likely be best to reach out to a representative at your institution for more direction. Brightspace courses can be configured in a number of different formats so the members of your institution would likely be able to put you on the best path to success!

Re: Unsecured network when accessing learning materials
Hi Jackson,
Brightspace helps protect course content and learner data even when users connect through potentially unsafe internet providers (such as public Wi-Fi) by using several security measures.
First, all communication between a user’s browser and Brightspace is protected with HTTPS/TLS encryption. This means that even if someone on the same public network attempts to monitor traffic, the login credentials, course materials, grades, and other data cannot be read because the information is encrypted during transmission.
Second, data stored within Brightspace is protected with encryption at rest (AES-256) in secure cloud infrastructure. This helps protect intellectual property and learner records even if someone were to gain unauthorized access to storage systems.
Third, Brightspace uses strong authentication and access controls. Passwords are securely hashed and systems support institutional authentication methods such as Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Access to course content is also controlled by roles and permissions, ensuring that only authorized users (such as enrolled learners and instructors) can view protected materials.
Finally, the platform is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure with firewalls, monitoring, and logging systems that detect suspicious activity and help protect against attacks.
While Brightspace secures the platform and data transmission, learners should also take precautions when using untrusted networks, such as verifying the secure website connection (HTTPS), avoiding suspicious login pages, enabling MFA when possible, and using a VPN if available.
Together, these platform protections and user precautions help reduce the risk of intellectual property or personal data being accessed maliciously when using unreliable internet connections.
Re: Content Experience Resources Page
This is really a great initiative. The new Content Experience Resources page will be very helpful as it brings together guides, updates, FAQs, and other useful information in one place. Thank you for sharing this update.
Quiz Re-entry
Hi,
I have noticed a cheating method student's use when the quizzes are ran under Lockdown browser. Let's say a student starts to write the quiz under lockdown browser. It's funny it also possible to do a quiz-re-entry to the same quiz, using the same login when the student is writing the exam. The student doesn't have to exit the quiz even. That means there are two logins writing the same quiz at the same time under same credentials. It is not even flagged anywhere and I couldn't discover any way to prevent it. The only way to find it is going through logs. Is there any way to prevent a second entry to the quiz when one is active ? Don't even allow it from same ip address, because someone in the same ip address can also helps the student in cheating. Seems like it is a serious bug.
