How Can I Add Reminders or Set Notifications for Calendar Events

Hello,

I’m trying to figure out how to add reminders or set notifications for specific events that I’ve created in the calendar within D2L Brightspace.

Could someone guide me on how to set up these reminders or notifications so that students receive alerts about upcoming deadlines or important dates?

AI Detection on Discussion Posts?

Hi there,
Our college uses Turn it In as an AI detection tool and am wondering if there is a way to enable Turn it In on student's discussion posts? Is this something that needs to be done in the back end of our LMS? Any ideas would be appreciated!

We use a number of custom grading schemes, and we find that as long as you set your grading column with the correct viewing settings you can hide the "percentage" or "points"

In this example the grade scheme has 4 grading statuses we give to students and then when we display the grade column to students, we turn off the option for the Points grade

And this stops the percentage/points being displayed and then only shows the "Symbol" that we have chosen in the grade scheme

I would recommend raising a support case for the team to investigate further. Meanwhile you might need to check if this is happening with other users ? if not, worth checking your internet connection. Is it happening with different courses? more details when raising the case will help the team to troubleshoot.

Insufficient Scopes despite having wildcards.

Trying to get course related files via this endpoint: d2l/api/lp/{version}/{orgUnitId}/managefiles/

however, getting insufficient scopes despite having scopes set as wildcards:

Feedback is so critical for student learning- so we definitely need to get this fixed and fixed correctly.

This part of the Brightspace Platform is managed with an additional technology partner which has required some more collaboration and navigation of technical complexity- but we have connected all of the feedback in this thread with our Product Teams (including yours here) and do expect the solution for this issue to be released soon.

While I'm not able to provide the specific date at this time - the item is expected to be announced in our Fixed Issues List.

Regarding your question, it appears that the issue may be related to the selection of a Grade scheme color. Please follow these steps to review and validate it:

Grades.
Manage Grades.
Find the desired grade item, Edit.
Validate the Grade Scheme.

Once you find the Grade scheme. Please review and validate it following the steps:

Grades.
Schemes.
Find the desired scheme, Edit.

You'll find the ranges and colors assigned to the scheme.
