Re: Customizing unit tabs in Lessons view
Hello @Heather.K.449,
Great Question.
As it stands, you cannot change the colors of selective Unit folders.
However, you can leverage the Primary Color, configured in the Theme in use by the active Navbar. The Primary Color will be applied to all Unit folders. Lesson folders will be denoted by a lighter shade of that same Primary Color.
For example:

I hope that helps!

Re: Community Feedback🗨️
Hi! I'm having trouble figuring out how to direct message users. I can find their profile and leave a message on a "wall" but not seeing alternate ways. I saw the linked article below, but do not have the buttons that are referenced, so it may be a permissions thing. Thanks!

How to Update Line Items with LTI Advantage?
I'm currently encountering an obstacle while attempting to update line items that were generated via LTI 1.3 deep linking (scoreMaximum, label, startDateTime, endDateTime).
The grade item's name will undergo an update, but that encompasses the extent of the changes. The name and dates for the quick link will remain unchanged. Furthermore, the gradebook line item currently lacks any imposed restrictions, even from the initial creation of the line item, in contrast to the quick link which has them.
Interestingly, this issue doesn't arise when working with Canvas and Blackboard. If anyone has effectively implemented a solution for this, I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide an example of your approach.
I'm making my PUT request using the content type: application/vnd.ims.lis.v2.lineitem+json.
Thank you.
Initial quick link from deep linking (has dates)
Initial gradebook item created from deep linking (does not have dates)
After the PUT Request: Gradebook item has updated label (still no dates)
After the PUT Request: Quick link should have an updated label and dates (remains the same)
Re: How to Update Line Items with LTI Advantage?
I've received an update from the D2L platform team regarding this issue. Here's their response:
"Currently, there is no way to update the title of a content topic. We have plans to allow tools to update link properties through a service endpoint. fyi Our gradebook does not have the concept of dates which is why they are ignored and also optional in the AGS spec."
The workaround today is for the instructors to update the name on the link/dates within content manually.
Has anyone had issues with pictures loading sideways in the Profile Widget on the course homepage?
We are seeing sporadic cases of pictures that appear normal outside of D2L, being rotated 90 degrees when uploaded to the profile widget. Strange.
What am I doing here? Seriously.
Please be patient with me, I appreciate any and all advice or information you can provide.
Can quizzes reference a pool, rather than copying questions from a pool?
Is there a way to link a group of questions in the question library into a pool, such that if I edit the questions in the LIBRARY that propagates to all the quizzes that draw from that bank?
This would be useful for updating figures, catching typos, etc. But it would also allow adding more questions to the pools without having to reconfigure all the tests. I'm running into a situation where I've got groups of questions in the Library that are used multiple times (chapter review, unit review, final). If I add new questions to the Library every term, I have to add those questions to ALL the tests that previously drew from that pool.
Re: What am I doing here? Seriously.
As an Administrator role, I come to the Community site to get mostly "upcoming changes" in the Release Notes area. This helps me get ready with applying updates to our system. I do like to see the Discussion panel as well, this will always help. I get tips from others on things that I may not even know yet. Welcome! :)
