Importing multi-answer questions from Moodle properly

Hi, I quite new to the Brightspace platform. I am importing questions from Moodle, some of which are what Brightspace calls Multi-Select. However, Brightspace does not recognize this and designates them as Multiple Choice. Is there a way to import these types of questions properly? If not, is there an easy way to change an existing question in Brightspace from Multiple Choice to Multi-Select? All the information was imported, that is, the weighted amount for each answer and the feedback for each answer. When I select a question, the option for selecting question type is greyed out.

@Aja.W.621 It's most likely an issue with the percentages that are set in the scheme that the selectbox item is using. However, you can't update the scheme if the selectbox item is using it; and if you change the selectbox item to a different scheme, it will wipe out all the scores you've already entered in the grade book. So you will need to make sure you have a backup and re-enter the attendance if you want to change the percentages/scheme.

You can turn off the weighted grade for students in the settings. It's on the second tab Org Unit Display Options under Student View Display Options. This way they will only see P or F.

There were some changes to the Single Profile Widget (which is the one you are referring to) in the September 2024/20.24.9 update to Brightspace which has changed how you can modify the details displayed on the widget. Now you'll access those options from the dropdown beside the title of the widget. However, I see that you are currently set to hide the the title of several of your widgets, which would prevent you from accessing those settings. I would suggest either you, or if you don't have access reach out to your local LMS/Brightspace administrator at your organization, edit the homepage being used by your Course to display the widget title.

Re: Quizzes - broken image while editing

After further testing and consulting with D2L Support, it appears that this issue is specific to the Firefox browser in our environment. Switching to another browser has resolved the problem, allowing us to edit quiz questions with images easily and efficiently.

Hey Michael! Great call out - you're right. We're getting there with the early release of our new Quiz Evaluation experience - if you can use it, you'll see that it matches Assignments and Discussions. Once we can support all question types in the new Quiz Eval screen, we'll update Quick Eval to better iterate through submissions.

Re: Work To Do Widget

@Steven.C.954, when you changed your enrollment back to "Super Admin", did you just manually change the enrollment in just that Course Offering?

Assuming so, courses that you are enrolled into via a Cascading enrollment, you won't get notifications for. The reason you are still getting them in that course is because you aren't enrolled in that course via cascading, you are just explicitly enrolled in that course, with that role. To change this, just change your enrollment in a higher org unit off of your cascading role (don't need to change at the whole Org level in case you've done similar role changes in other places, could just use a Department or some other middle level Org Unit), and then back to Super Admin. At that point Brightspace should prompt you to cascade the enrollment down which should fix the issue for you.
