Does D2L have an OER-type hub or open LOR that I either retrieve or upload files?
Does D2L have an OER-type hub or open LOR that I either retrieve or upload files that could benefit other instructors, IDs, or admins?
For example, we've created a regular and substantive interaction (RSI) log within the HTML editor, and it could benefit other faculty, institutions, and programs that track RSI for accreditation/re-accreditation purposes.
If not, has there been any discussion of an OER-type area for Brightspace users to share their materials?

Thank you for reaching out to Brightspace Community.
If you would like to have the existing templates of course offerings to be deleted, you will first need to create the Template that you wanted as the parent for all courses.
Then you need to assign this template as the Parent template for all these courses .
Then delete the existing one.
Note: Without changing the Parent template of courses, don't delete the existing templates.
Also, if there is content topics or files referred from these templates make sure to backup those before deleting.

What does 'quiz entry, switched tab' denote in the Attempt logs on quizzes?
Students only seem to have quiz entry or this option, not both
Re: Replacing a Scorm
Hello Lindsey, thank you for reaching out with your question. You can update the scorm package by going into the SCORM/xAPI Object Dialog, searching for the scorm object, clicking the [ . . . ] button and selecting Upload New Version.
Any previous or active sessions at the time of the new version being added will be with the previous version. Any new sessions or continued sessions will start/restarted with the new version.

Multiple choice questions are not going to appear in the Quiz Question Answer Options data sets. Only if there are Short Answer, Fill in the Blanks, and Multi-Short Answer question types in your organization it will be revealed in the datasets.
What I meant by "based on setup" is data reveleaved in the datasets are based on the quiz setup by the administrators, course designers or teacher ( depending on the roles and permissions setup by the administrator group in your organization). Whoever created the quizzes is considered client setup.
If you would like to test that dataset, my suggestion is to create a test quiz in your Sandbox course with Short Answer, Fill in the Blanks, and Multi-Short Answer and notice if the data is there in the dataset after next generation time.
A small reminder that Brightspace Datasets are running on a set schedule and knowing that schedule will give you an idea when you can download the correct dataset.

Quiz Question Answer Options BDS will only contain a subset of the questions available in the datasets. A great Entity Relationship Diagram can be seen here : .
On another note, Brightspace Data Sets ( BDS) are limited to the 150 million rows of the most recent data EXCEPT for the following which are limited by DATE (info from ) :
- 3 years of data (all of the previous two calendar years and the current calendar year to date):
- Content User Completion
- Content User Progress
- Pre-Requisite Conditions Met
- Quiz User Answer Responses
- Quiz User Answers
- Session History

When you add a package topic to the content, you have an option for the topic to use latest version (default) or current version. If the topic references latest version, when you upload a new version for the package in Add New SCORM/XAPI, the package the users see would also be updated. The completion, grades and any other information submitted by the previous package is retained.
Please note: if the user attempts to launch the new package and they did complete the previous package before, the completion data may be reset.

🤔 yes, I believe this is the way it currently works. The only thing you need to be aware of is that, if you set the grades to auto-release before you mark the open-ended questions, students' scores will be lower as they are only based on the automatically-graded multiple-choice questions…but will change after you mark the open-ended questions. Make sure to tell your students!

I found an article that has information that can help you: Notification sent when a new content topic is added and made visible to an active course that the user is enrolled in. So you can make the course inactive and add the content items.
