@Alexandra.S.535 Are you using the View as Student option from the menu in the top right corner? That will only let you view pages and not actually submit quiz attempts/assignments/posts. You will need to impersonate a student in order to test those activities (if your institution allows that).
Create award conditional release that ignores optional content
I have several courses with a lot of content that must be completed before the award is released. But, a few content items do not need to be completed - I've marked these in the content as "optional."
It seems that if I don't want to include the few optional bits of content in the release conditions, I have to do the manual/tedious job of creating a condition for each content item. Is there a way around this to use the "all visited content," so I don't have to list all the content items but still skip the optional content?
I've already tested (on a smaller scale) with some content marked as "optional" - however it looks like the release condition isn't triggered unless I open this "optional" content as well - making the concept of "optional" moot.
I have 17 courses, ranging from around 20 - 120 content pages… so, I'm hoping that I don't have to manually add each content topic in order to satisfy the release conditions. Any suggestions are appreciated!!
Discussion - Due Dates
Hi all,
A feature that might be useful for many of us is to either have two Due Date (like Assignments which has a Due Date and End Date which could be used for late submissions or other purposes) options OR to have the ability to Manage Access for students. I am finding more and more accommodations with extensions for certain conditions that allow a student a certain window to submit work (like 72-hours) after the due date. Having a feature where you could allow that Accommodation to be automatically available to a student would really improve D2L Discussions. Also having two Due Dates could be used for instructors who allow late work OR to allow for an earlier due date for an original post and an end date for replies. Just an idea,

Re: Upload File Access to the Media Library via API
At the moment, it's only video and audio files that go into the media library. It would be interesting to know whether using the API to upload create a File Topic and upload a video using
POST /d2l/api/le/(version)/(orgUnitId)/content/modules/(moduleId)/structure/
will put the content into Media Library or into module files as per the legacy way.
Re: Course banner and homepage widget
Hi Kathleen! Thank you for responding. Here is a screenshot of the course widget and how it looks for the course banner. We also tried creating a separate banner just for the org unit, but it then changed the widget because they are connected.
Our other alternative is to keep the widget, and remove the course banner. But the color behind the block is bothersome and we don't know how to change it from light grey to our brand color. Do you know if it's possible to change the foreground color?

@Isaac.M.201 If Shuffle questions and sections within the quiz is checked, is there a reason why that breaks up sections if Add page break after each section is selected under Paging? We're running into the issue of questions from multiple sections appearing on multiple pages instead of all questions belonging to one section per page. In addition, the title of the section only occurs on the first page where some questions appear and not the other pages that include the other questions from that section.

When a signature is created, the inserted image is saved into a specific folder location within Brightspace. When the email is sent externally this image wont appear to recipients as it lives within Brightspace.
An alternative you could consider is adding the image with the Insert Image option, then choosing URL and putting in the location of an image that is available via your colleges' website. For example https ://www.dallascollege.edu/publishingimages/logos/dc-logo-master.svg - I copied the URL of the header image from . This image is then visible within your email and when sent to recipients as it it linked to your colleges' website instead.

Re: how to handle late penalty
I would really like to see an automatic late penalty option added, but when I try to follow the link to vote for it, I get a log in prompt and cannot log in. I don't get an option to register and when I click the only option available (reset password), I get an error message. How do I access the ideas page to vote for features???
