Boosting learner engagement with an interactive interview simulation – 2023 Excellence Award Winner
Rising rates of students studying online, part-time and from abroad are challenging educators to create more equitable learning opportunities. The online interview simulation is an equitable access resource that helps learners practice skills and receive high-quality feedback. It presents students with a virtual interviewee and has them navigate the role of interviewer by selecting questions to ask, and formative feedback is delivered in real-time. There has been a more than 40% rise in students accessing D2L resources to help with their interviewing skills.

Tackling Inequities in Public Education

Widening Access to Maths Learning in South Africa
The Capitec Foundation champions maths education in South Africa through digitally enabled learning and tracks outcomes through powerful analytics. In April 2023, it implemented D2L Brightspace to deliver blended learning and development programmes in maths for students, pre-service teachers, in-services teachers and school leadership.
