how long are deleted files stored on the system for

Hi, If a submission was deleted by the administration or if the page is set to replace existing/keep only the latest file. How long is the deleted/replaced files kept on the back end? ie how long after the deletetion can I ask D2L backend to restore the file. I have seen some mention to recovery only occuring within 30 days, what happens there after?

    Thank you for reaching Brightspace Community!

    There are course items that can be restored by admins or instructors if they have the permission to within Brightspace like for example assignment submission :

    You can request to restore needed object types like assignment -overwrriten submissions, Content modules, quizzes,etc. within 30 days of being deleted any request received outside this timeframe may not be possible.
