Groups for multi-section courses
We have a non-credit course that routinely has 5-7 sections. Currently we use separate course shells to ensure that the instructor only sees their own students. Is it feasible to use groups within a single course shell to accomplish this? Instructors would need to post announcements only to their own group, see only their own group to grade, see discussions from their own group, etc.

Through the Advanced Evaluator functionalities that were released last year, there is the possibility to have several instructors in a single course shell that would be assigned to specific groups of students, however I believe this functionality for evaluation has only been extended to Assignments thus far. I think your current solution where different instructors manage different sections of a course is the best option at this point in time, but there may be other members of the Community who might have some other creative solutioning suggestions!
