Sorting of questions

Hi- When my testbanks of a few thousand questions imported, they arrived in random order. There seems to be no functions that allow sorting. I would sort by name, chapter, or something, but no options seem to exist. I do not mean ordering questions in a quiz, but rather sorting the source questions in the library. This would seem to be a really easy function to include. Am I just missing it?

BTW< the choices of tags below pretty limited!

Thank you

    Hi Stephen.F.5069,

You can create multiple Sections within the library to categorize questions by type and topic, making it simpler to find questions for quizzes, surveys, and self-assessments in the future. When possible, the best practice is to create the Sections first in the Question Library, such as Names or Chapters as you suggested. Once the Sections have been created, then you can import the questions into each Section.

Unfortunately, once the questions have been imported into the Question Library, sorting them manually is not ideal, especially when sorting through thousands of questions.

    Hope that makes sense.

    Hi Janet,

Yeah, that's how it appeared to me. I had no choice on migrating— there was just not time to build the whole bank from scratch. But even then, I cannot get banks to sort by either name or type, which seems like such a basic functionality. I could then select and plunk them into sections with somewhat less strain.

    Thanks for trying.
